Style needs

I finally had the pleasure of picking up my new Coach Alligator Tote. I was the high bidder at a silent auction for Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2009. Coach generously donated this elegant bag to the event, where I was fortunate enough to meet David Duplantis, the gracious head of North American retail for the brand. All the auction proceeds go to various gay charities, including GMHC and the Hetrick Martin Institute.

I remember seeing this exotic tote in the Coach Bleecker Street boutique about a year ago in navy blue and I thought it was beautiful. I like that Coach is upping the ante on Luxury. I even covered their alligator wallets here. I am thrilled to be the owner of this extravagant bag.

While some of the photos make the bag appear shiny, it is actually matte alligator with a subtle sheen. The color is a cool medium steel grey. Even the base is gorgeous. It is lined in a very American khaki cotton twill. After all, this is an iconic American Luxury brand. This limited edition tote is numbered 1 of 4.

What a perfect combination---Charity and Luxury.
