Café de Flore: Lapo Elkann

We arrived this morning in Paris and after a quick taxi into the St. Germain, where we are staying, we popped into a favorite cafe of ours: Cafe de Flore. We ordered omelettes and cafe au lait. This is the perfect spot for people watching and the crowd never disappoints. Our omelettes had just arrived when none other than Lapo Elkann, the heir to the Fiat fortune and grandson of the chairman Gianni Agnelli sauntered in with a leggy young beauty. I have always considered Lapo a style icon and today he looked dashing in a white suit with a white shirt and his signature Majorelle Blue velvet slippers. I can see why he made the 2008 Vanity Fair International Best Dressed List.
