ive always loved the feeling of wearing a mens collar button-down shirt. something about the crisp, classic lines of the shirt just makes you feel sexy. i paired my denim variation with some over the knee socks to incorporate a feminine touch.

VERSACE for H&M
i can hardly contain my excitement for this year's H&M fall collaboration with the iconic italian design house-versace. what i love most about versace through and through is their love for bright colors, eccentric patterns, beautiful leathers, cutouts, and showstopping studs, most of which will stay true to the collaboration line.
scallops
theres something so feminine about a scalloped hemmed garment that just makes you feel dainty and girly. these h&m conscious collection shorts were a find since everything was snatched up so quickly. the pale pink, double layered, high waisted shorts are super lightweight and comfortable. they were perfect for a day of brunching, shopping and running errands.

my love for high waisted everything is no secret and today's outfit is no exception. these super comfy tribal printed high waisted harem pants were a find. theyre lightweight and perfect for the hot, but breezy weather. i love the pockets and muted down the tribal pattern pants with a neutral silk blouse. i paired it with my sky high dany platforms and was ready for meetings and appointments of the day. hope you all have an amazing friday! xoxo

hot pants
i seriously cant get enough of bright colored bottoms lately. coming from someone that practically lives in black, im so proud of myself for venturing outside the box. theres also just something about pairing red and leopard together that makes everything so right.

sustainable fashion
in eco-friendly, hnm
its no secret that sustainability has been a growing trend within the fashion industry. fashion powerhouse H&M has taken it to another level with their conscious collection launching in stores this thursday, april 14th. not only will all the items in the collection be made from recycled or green materials, but the affordable pieces are all under $59.99 and completely amazing! i love everything about the collection especially the neutral color palette and delicate clean lines. i already have my eye on some incredible pieces, but i narrowed it down to my top 10 picks! you can also check out the complete lookbook here.
worn down surroundings
in forever 21, gucci, hnm, j brand, rock and republic
it seems the older and dirtier the place, the better pictures turn out. i found this amazing warehouse area in downtown la that seemed unusually eerie and mysterious. i loved everything about it. my neutral-ish outfit for the day contrasted quite nicely with the dirty, gritty background.

i spent the day roaming around downtown la and found a few cool spots to take a few photos. the sun was bright and shining, another beautiful day in southern california. there is something classic about pairing denim with white and brownish tan hues that i love. very simple and easy.

a fresh start
in hnm, sergio rossi, vintage
every year we are able to learn from our past mistakes and have the opportunity to start fresh. out with the old and in with the new, i am welcoming the new year with open arms. i have an inkling that 2011 is going to be an amazingly fabulous year. i dont really have any specific resolutions, but i do have a few words of wisdom and inspiration that i want to live by this year.
"dance like no one is watching, love like you've never been hurt, sing like no one is listening and live like it's heaven on earth"
"find something you love to do and you'll never have to work a day in your life"
"some people dream of success...while others wake up and work hard at it"
"do what you love and the money will follow"
and of course, pictures of the sparkly new years dress. i hope everyone had a great time ringing in the new year!
